National Business Parkway (NBP) Join a small, highly skilled Linux team operating in a hybrid cloud environment where you'll help design architecture, build solutions, and maintain mission-critical infrastructure. This role offers the opportunity to work across multiple networks and system architectures while driving automation and innovation. Tools & Technologies Linux | Python | AWS | Systems Troubleshooting What You'll Do Design, build, and maintain Linux-based infrastructure across diverse environments and architectures. Configure, patch, monitor, and troubleshoot Linux systems to ensure reliability and performance. Develop and implement automation solutions using scripting and configuration management tools. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to diagnose issues and deliver effective resolutions. Contribute to architectural decisions and recommend improvements to systems and workflows. Mentor junior team members and support knowledge-sharing within the team. Communicate system status, risks, and issues clearly to stakeholders and service owners. What You'll Need Strong hands-on experience with Linux administration, including system configuration, patching, monitoring, and troubleshooting. Experience developing and maintaining automation scripts using Python, and/or Ansible. Proven ability to work effectively in team environments and collaborate on issue resolution. Experience mentoring or guiding junior team members. Strong problem-solving mindset with a proactive approach to automation and optimization. Self-motivated with the ability to learn new tools and technologies quickly. Clear communication skills, both written and verbal, for technical and non-technical audiences. Desired, But Not Required Experience with AWS cloud services, particularly EC2 Auto Scaling. Familiarity with AWS CLI and boto3 for automation and cloud interaction. Experience working in hybrid cloud or multi-network environments. Strong interest in improving infrastructure through automation and innovation. Experience & Education Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline OR five (5) additional years of systems administration experience in lieu of a degree. Ten (10) years of experience as a Systems Administrator supporting programs of similar scope, type, and complexity. DoD 8570 IAT Level II Certification (e.g., Security+, CCNA).
