The Systems Engineer is entrusted with the management, configuration, and reliable operation of computer systems, including Citrix, Windows, Linux, EMR (Meditech, Cerner, Epic), SAN, and related infrastructure, within the Information Services Department. This role is responsible for ensuring that system uptime, performance, resource utilization, and security consistently meet or exceed the organization's established service level agreements. Key responsibilities encompass the procurement, installation, and upgrading of hardware and software components, the implementation of routine automation, enforcement of security policies, and the resolution of technical issues. In addition to technical duties, the Systems Engineer may be required to train, supervise, and provide technical guidance to staff, as well as deliver expert support for departmental projects. Coordination with Project Managers, Application Analysts, non-Infrastructure IT teams, and management is essential to guarantee the successful deployment of technical changes, upgrades, and new solutions. The incumbent is accountable for delivering high-quality design, maintenance, configuration, and support of information technology systems within a 24x7 production environment, with a primary focus on system availability, performance, capacity planning, and security.
