The Work:
As a Systems Administrator you will: Provide support for implementation, troubleshooting and maintenance of Information Technology (IT) systems. Manages IT system infrastructure and any processes related to these systems. Provides support to IT systems including day-to-day operations, monitoring and problem resolution for all of the client/server/storage/network devices, mobile devices, etc. Provides Tier 1 (Help Desk) and Tier 2 (Escalation) problem identification, diagnosis and resolution of problems. Provides support for the escalation and communication of status to agency management and internal customers. Provides support for the dispatch system and hardware problems and remains involved in the resolution process. Configures and manages UNIX and Windows operating systems and installs/loads operating system software, troubleshoots, maintains integrity and configures network components along with implementing operating systems enhancements to improve reliability and performance. Provide support for implementation, troubleshooting and maintenance of IT systems Provide Tier 1 (Help Desk) problem identification, diagnosis and resolution of problems Manage the daily activities of configuration and operation of IT systems Provide assistance to users in accessing and using IT systems Provide Tier 1 (Help Desk) and Tier 2 (Escalation) problem identification, diagnosis and resolution of problems Provide support to IT systems including day-to-day operations, monitoring and problem resolution for all of the client/server/storage/network devices, mobile devices, etc. Provide support for the escalation and communication of status to agency management and internal customers Optimize system operations and resource utilization, and perform system capacity analysis and planning Maintains smooth operation of multi-user computer systems, including coordination with network administrators. Duties may include setting up administrator and service accounts, maintaining system documentation, tuning system performance, installing system wide software and allocate mass storage space. Interacts with users and evaluates vendor products. Makes recommendations to purchase hardware and software, coordinates installation and provides backup recovery. Develops and monitors policies and standards for allocation related to the use of computing resources. Basic Qualifications Must have a current TS/SCI with Poly A Bachelor's degree in a Technical discipline from an accredited college or university plus five (5) years of systems administration experience. A High School Diploma or GED and five (5) additional years of SA experience may be substituted for a Bachelor's degree.
Required Skills:
System Administration experience with CentOS 7, Rocky 9, and RHEL 9 o Upgrading servers, workstations, laptops Experience with the Customer Secure the Enterprise (STE) tasks Experience with the Customer data transfer process Hardware installation experience (servers/workstations) Linux Desired Skills Task Automation o Ansible experience o PXE boot Building VMs using Proxmox Identity Manager (IDM) experience o Integration of IDM with a CentOS LDAP server Red Hat Certified System Administrator Experience trouble shooting and configuring Transport Layer Security (TLS) Windows 10/11 administration Linux networking experience
Pay Information Full-Time Salary Range:

Benefits offered:

For (Washington state applicants only) Non-represented full-time employees: accrue at least 10 hours per month of Paid Time Off (PTO) to be used for incidental absences and other reasons; receive at least 90 hours for holidays. Represented full time employees accrue 6.67 hours of Vacation per month; accrue up to 52 hours of sick leave annually; receive at least 96 hours for holidays. PTO, Vacation, sick leave, and holiday hours are prorated based on start date during the calendar year.
