Job Description

We are looking for an experienced Sr Systems Administrator to support and strengthen enterprise infrastructure operations in Southfield, Michigan. This role is responsible for keeping servers, networks, and end-user systems reliable across multiple office locations while helping maintain a secure and efficient IT environment. The ideal candidate brings deep hands-on knowledge of Microsoft server platforms, core infrastructure services, networking, backup technologies, and virtualization tools.
Responsibilities:
  • Manage the installation, configuration, maintenance, and lifecycle support of Windows Server environments, including versions 2016, 2019, and 2022.
  • Oversee core infrastructure services such as Active Directory, print services, and related administrative platforms to ensure stable daily operations.
  • Administer backup and recovery solutions using Veeam, Backup Exec, and similar tools, including validation of restore processes and file recovery requests.
  • Support Microsoft database server environments and help maintain system performance, availability, and operational continuity.
  • Design, deploy, and refine operating system images and software distribution packages to improve consistency across workstations and servers.
  • Maintain server, network, and workstation uptime for users across geographically distributed office locations.
  • Assist with certificate services and other Microsoft-based infrastructure components as part of ongoing systems administration responsibilities.
  • Troubleshoot escalated infrastructure issues involving servers, storage, virtualization, desktop platforms, and network-connected systems.
