POSITION SUMMARY
Full time; exempt position. Develop and maintain all IT policies and procedures, manage all IT staff, maintain total security and integrity of overall network, develop oral and written communications between departments, design and develop tracking and reporting tools, budget estimates for project specifications. Adhere to the procedures or standards outlined in Title 31 and Casino Security policy. Negotiates with vendors, develops requests for proposals on new purchases. Fill-in for IT Specialists when not available. Salary will be commensurate with experience. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Essential Support Function:
Scope planning and quality control procedures for the performance of the systems infrastructure. Develops project proposals, specifications, schedules and agreement. Oversees budget estimates, project costs, business justification, risk assessment, and training strategies. Responsible for operational management and cost estimating. Oversees project management, establishes project events, interactions and results. Oversees system engineering, operation, performance and analysis. Creates administrative procedural manuals and support documentation for the network. Responsible for the orientation, training and evaluation of all IT staff.
Network Management:
User administration
  • creating and maintaining user accounts and appropriate access to resources.
Resource Management:
oversees the implementation and support of network resources.
Configuration management:
Oversees the planning of the original configuration, expansion, and maintain the configuration information and documentation.
Performance Management:
Monitors and tracks network activity to maintain and enhance the systems performance. Maintenance
  • oversees the prevention, detection, and solution of network problems.
Oversees the licensing of software, domains, email and operating systems. Ensures compliance with all gaming regulations and the Internal Control System. Responsible for the implementation of Ethernet LAN architecture, maintaining good performance of UTP category 6 cabling infrastructure with SM and MM fiber optic backbone. Analyzes the network for points of failure and fault tolerance of the architecture to eliminate single failure points. Oversees all communication to include the LAN/Internet/WAN access, documenting TCP/IP protocol and addressing status and dynamic. Creates documentation of DNS, DHCP, and all other protocols. Oversee the administration of work group for Point-of-Sale system with integration of PBX phone system, Safelock door lock system, and Micros/Fidelio POS systems. Oversees the database management of WinOasis (Casino Data Systems) and SQL Server to ensure full operation of all hardware, software and workstations using this system. Includes installation of software, training, and technical support. Works with Management, Finance, Marketing, and Slot departments to maintain user security in accordance with Title 31. Ability to analyze data from databases. Oversees implementation of hardware (or software)
RAID LEVEL
(disk stripping with parity) to prevent single point of failure in the disk drives, and to maximize the performance of the system. Maintains the overall voice and data networks hardware to include user workstations, POS terminals, printers, fax machines, hubs, routers, firewall, switches, modems, and all miscellaneous hardware. Prepare work schedules on a weekly basis. Prepare weekly time sheets for payroll. Hire and train staff. Document employee performance and administer employee evaluations. Follow Casino and department policies and procedures, including all safety and service procedures; adhere to the Prairie's Edge Chain of Command. Support the Vision and Mission Statements of Prairie's Edge Casino Resort. All other duties as assigned.

SKILLS & ABILITIES
Education:
Associate's Degree (two year college or technical school)
Required, Field of Study:
Communications and Technical Support. Bachelor's Degree (four year college or technical school) or
Work Equivalent, Field of Study:
Communications and Technical Support.
Experience:
3 plus years of experience in Communications and Technical Support. Previous experience in supervision and management.
Computer Skills:
Proficient in network management (architecture and protocols), user administration, resource management, Ethernet LAN architecture, LAN/Internet/WAN access, TCP/IP protocols, Point-of Sale Systems, PBX phone system, Safelock door lock system, Micros/Fidelio POS systems; ATI (Casino Data Systems) and SQL servers.
Certifications & Licenses:
Must be able to pass a State and Federal background check and a pre-employment drug test that does test for THC.
