Role description High Level Role Description Provide L2-L3 operational support for global Manufacturing Execution System MES infrastructure operating within OTcontrolled environments across North American and Global manufacturing sites This role is responsible for ensuring availability performance patching backuprestore and disaster recovery of MES platform services while operating under strict ITOT separation cybersecurity and production uptime constraints This position is not equivalent to a traditional manufacturing IT server administrator MES environments directly support production execution quality traceability and regulatory compliance Failures misconfigurations or delayed response can result in production stoppage safety risk or significant financial impact Hard Skills Advanced Windows and Linux server administration in productioncritical environments Virtualization platforms VMware andor HyperV supporting highavailability OT workloads Backup restore and disaster recovery operations for OTMES systems imagelevel and applicationaware Storage and performance monitoring for latencysensitive MES workloads Working knowledge of MES backend components eg SQL Server historians reporting services Scripting and automation PowerShell andor Bash for operational consistency and rapid recovery Core OTadjacent infrastructure services Identity and access services Active Directory in OTsegmented domains DNS NTP certificate services Endpoint securityEDR interaction with servers eg Trellixtype platforms Infrastructure monitoring and ing eg Nagiostype systems Network fundamentals sufficient to distinguish server vs network failures Enterprise storage platforms eg Unityclass systems Soft Skills Clear calm communication with shopfloor personnel site leadership and central OTIT teams Strong troubleshooting and rootcause analysis under timecritical production pressure Ability to prioritize operational risk over convenience during incidents and maintenance windows Effective collaboration with vendors integrators OT security and infrastructure teams Discipline in documentation runbooks and knowledge transfer to ensure repeatability and audit readiness Continuous improvement mindset focused on stability resilience and risk reduction Experience 8-10 years of handson server administration experience Demonstrated experience supporting manufacturing MES or OTadjacent systems Proven track record operating systems where downtime has direct production and financial impact Experience working within changecontrolled securitygoverned environments Critical Role Distinctions NonNegotiable Why this is NOT a standard Manufacturing IT Server Administrator role MES systems are production systems not office IT services Recovery expectations are measured in minutes not hours or days Changes must be coordinated with production schedules validation requirements and OT cybersecurity controls Tribal knowledge of sitespecific manufacturing behavior is essential and cannot be learned remotely or reactively Errors or delays can directly impact safety quality compliance and revenue Location Availability Requirements Onsite presence in Minnetonka Minnesota is mandatory and nonnegotiable This role must maintain regular physical presence to Support plant operations Interface with manufacturing and engineering teams Respond immediately to productionimpacting incidents Flexibility to support North American multisite operations including offhours or extended coverage when production demands require it Remoteonly or hybrid arrangements do not meet the operational requirements of this role

Benefits Compensation range:
