Job Description

Position Summary:
Seeking an experienced Infrastructure SME to support Customer's enterprise Linux/Unix, Backup, Storage, and Monitoring environments. The role will be responsible for Linux and Solaris administration, backup and recovery platforms, infrastructure monitoring, patch management, virtualization support, server provisioning, and operational support for business-critical systems supporting ITAR/CUI-regulated environments. Key Responsibilities Administer, monitor, maintain, troubleshoot, and support Linux, Unix, and Solaris server environments across production, test, and disaster recovery platforms. Manage Solaris Zones, Unix OS disk administration, Linux OS patching, and operating system lifecycle activities. Administer and support Avamar Backup, Data Domain, and Veeam Backup environments, including backup monitoring, recovery validation, retention management, and issue resolution. Manage and support Satellite Server administration, BigFix ticket management, server patching, compliance activities, and endpoint maintenance. Build, deploy, configure, and support virtual servers within Nutanix environments. Monitor infrastructure health, availability, capacity, and performance using SolarWinds and enterprise monitoring tools. Perform performance analysis, troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and resolution of infrastructure incidents and operational issues. Participate in on-call support rotation and provide Level 3 support for critical infrastructure incidents, outages, and escalations. Develop and maintain technical documentation, operational procedures, runbooks, standards, and compliance-related artifacts. Collaborate with infrastructure, security, storage, backup, database, and application teams to ensure reliable and secure operations.
