Job Description
Job Description Insight Global is seeking an Alteryx Administrator for a top telecommunications client. This individual will serve as the subject matter expert responsible for the administration, stability, and performance optimization of a large-scale on-premises Alteryx Server environment supporting approximately 7,000 enterprise users. Working directly with the Data Delivery Platforms engineering team, this consultant will manage a highly available multi-node Alteryx cluster, oversee platform monitoring and incident response, administer user access and security integrations, and troubleshoot workflow and infrastructure issues. The ideal candidate is a hands-on Alteryx administrator with strong HA, Windows Server, and Alteryx architecture expertise who enjoys platform ownership, operational excellence, and knowledge transfer responsibilities within a complex enterprise environment.

Day-to-Day:
Administer and maintain a highly available multi-node Alteryx Server environment Monitor platform health, resource utilization, and job queue performance Manage server upgrades, patches, and hotfix deployments Perform HA testing and validate failover readiness Optimize worker node configurations, scheduling, and system throughput Manage user provisioning, deprovisioning, and RBAC permissions Support Active Directory/LDAP authentication and group management Conduct access reviews and licensing governance activities Administer Alteryx Gallery collections, permissions, and workflow publishing Troubleshoot workflow failures, scheduling conflicts, and runtime issues Partner with workflow developers to resolve performance bottlenecks Maintain inventory and governance of production workflows Configure monitoring, alerting, and incident response processes Serve as primary support resource for Alteryx platform incidents Develop and maintain operational runbooks and support procedures Create architecture documentation and knowledge transfer materials Conduct ongoing knowledge transfer sessions with internal engineering teams Deliver final transition and handoff documentation at contract completion We are a company committed to creating diverse and inclusive environments where people can bring their full, authentic selves to work every day. Skills and Requirements 3+ years of hands-on Alteryx Server administration experience Experience supporting multi-node Alteryx Server clusters in production Strong understanding of Alteryx Server architecture: Controller Worker Gallery Persistence Layer Service Layer High Availability (HA) configuration and administration experience Alteryx Server API experience for automation and administrative tasks Active Directory/LDAP integration experience Strong Windows Server administration skills SQL Server and/or MongoDB experience supporting Alteryx persistence layers Advanced troubleshooting and root cause analysis skills Experience managing upgrades, patches, and platform maintenance Strong documentation and knowledge transfer experience Excellent written communication skills Experience supporting large-scale enterprise environments (7,000+ users) Knowledge of Alteryx licensing models Datadog, Zabbix, Prometheus, or similar monitoring platforms IIS administration experience Windows firewall configuration experience Alteryx Designer experience for workflow testing and troubleshooting ServiceNow or other ITSM platform experience PowerShell scripting experience Experience with workflow scheduling and optimization Experience creating operational runbooks and support documentationBenefits
