Type:

full-time SELEE Corporation in Hendersonville, NC is looking for an IT generalist to fill out our two-person IT team. The team plays a vital role in supporting 3 manufacturing locations - Hendersonville, NC, Gilberts, IL and Xiaogan, China. Selee is a mid-sized business that is short on red tape and boredom and big on each person making a difference and contributing. This is a terrific opportunity for someone who likes variety & is interested in all aspects of IT and does not want to be limited to one specialty. The position supports every aspect of our company and allows us to be the best ceramic filter manufacturer possible and to satisfy our customers.

Essential functions include:
  • Responsible for all hardware that is inside our firewall including setup, maintenance and network administration. PC's, laptops, servers, barcode scanners, cabling, printing & telecommunications
  • Software upgrades & installs, license audits
  • Microsoft Active Directory admin
  • Server virtualization (VMware/Hyper-V)
  • Basic scripting to support troubleshooting
  • Cybersecurity basics, antivirus monitoring
  • Support and training for end users
  • The ability to troubleshoot issues remotely
  • Have the ability to lift, push or pull 50 lbs.

when installing or working on equipment.

Secondary/Additional Duties:
  • Position will back up the IT manager when he/she is out of the office
  • Support the execution of IT projects and upgrades as necessary Characteristics of a
Successful Candidate:
  • Self-motivated
  • Communicate well with others on the plant floor and in the offices
  • Ability to balance immediate user support with longer term priorities
  • Ability to work in an environment that has multiple tasks & priorities, with interruptions, while remaining safe and calm Required Qualifications & Skills
  • A four-year degree in computer science/engineering or a two-year degree in computer science and applicable experience
  • 5 years prior IT experience supporting a manufacturing company
  • Prior ERP experience
  • Position is on-site, not remote
  • Some night and weekend work and travel will be required
  • Capable to read, legibly write and speak fluent English.
Preferred Qualifications & Skills:
  • Familiarity with
UNIX/LINUX

operating systems

  • Computer scripting languages: PowerShell, batch, C#(.NET)
  • Industry certification(s) are a plus
Physical & Environmental Requirements, PPE:
  • Ability to work in noisy, very hot, or very cold conditions when in the plant or warehouse
  • Safety glasses, steel-toed shoes, high visibility vest when in the plant or warehouse EOE
