Job Description
Performs intermediate professional work serving as Systems Administrator; does related work as required. Work is performed under the limited supervision of the Director of Information Technology. This is medium work requiring the exertion of 50 pounds of force occasionally, up to 20 pounds of force frequently, and up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects; work requires stooping, kneeling, crouching, reaching, standing, walking, lifting, fingering, grasping, and repetitive motions; vocal communication is required for expressing or exchanging ideas by means of the spoken word; hearing is required to perceive information at normal spoken word levels; visual acuity is required for color perception, preparing and analyzing written or computer data, use of measuring devices, assembly or fabrication of parts at or within arms' length, determining the accuracy and thoroughness of work, and observing general surroundings and activities; the worker is not subject to adverse environmental conditions. Serves as Systems Administrator for various systems; assisting with the development, implementation, and management of data systems; providing regular and on-call technical support and training to users. Manages accounts, network rights, and access to systems and equipment. Manages and supports Microsoft 365 and related services. Deploys, manages, and troubleshoots email solutions. Manages system and server resources including performance, capacity, availability, serviceability, and recoverability. Maintains lifecycle practices for data centers and other infrastructure-related items to provide reliable access. Adds new hosted servers for web-facing applications. Sets up and manages remote access to end users' desktops. Maintains hardware, software, and network resources required for the upkeep of the virtual environment. Deploys, manages, and troubleshoots enterprise storage solutions. Creates and provides maintenance of backups for file storage, application servers, and other related services. Deploys and maintains services in data center locations. Ensures enterprise systems are protected and secure. Maintains patching and compliance for infrastructure systems. Interacts with third parties for problem resolution and system improvements. Retires assets at the end of its lifecycle in accordance with governance policies. Provides advanced application support. Performs related tasks as required.
Thorough knowledge of systems administration concepts; thorough knowledge of organization IT user security policies best practices; skilled in correcting physical and technical problems that impact system and server performance; skilled in recovery and high availability; thorough knowledge of virtualization technologies; thorough knowledge of system administration and operating system hardening techniques; ability to follow oral and written instructions; ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with associates, superiors, and other departments.
Possession of CompTIA A+, Laserfiche, CompTIA Server +, CompTIA Linux+.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
Any combination of education and experience equivalent to graduation from an accredited college or university with major course work in computer science or related field and considerable system administration experience.Possession of CompTIA A+, Laserfiche, CompTIA Server +, CompTIA Linux+.
Optional Certifications:
CompTIA Network+, CompTIA Security+, Microsoft Azure. Possession of an appropriate driver's license valid in the State of North Carolina.Similar remote jobs
