LOCATION
Linden, NJ / Relocating to East Windsor, NJ, USA On site 5 days a week Location & Facility Transition This position is currently based at our Linden, NJ facility and will be relocating to our new East Windsor, NJ facility. Candidates must be able to work in Linden during the transition and remain with the company through the move.
JOB DESCRIPTION
The System/Network Administrator is responsible for ensuring the stability, integrity, and efficient operation of the organization?s IT infrastructure. The successful candidate will maintain and support the company's network and information systems environment, including servers, workstations, and network equipment. This role also involves monitoring system performance, applying updates, troubleshooting issues, and implementing improvements to support daily operations within an electric motor and generator manufacturing environment.
Main Responsibilities/Duties:
Maintain Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, Group Policy, file/print services and VPNs. Create and maintain a detailed system topology including baseline configurations. Troubleshoot and resolve hardware, software, and network issues. Monitor system performance and ensure system availability and reliability. Maintain accurate documentation on system configurations, policies, and procedures. Support backup and disaster recovery strategies and conduct regular testing. Install, troubleshoot, and update company software and hardware as needed. Anticipate and report the cost of replacing or updating computer items. Ensure all IT system configurations are in compliance with NIST Special Publication 800-series, NISPOM, DAAPM, and RMF. Assist in planning and executing infrastructure upgrades and migrations. Coordinate with IT lead to close any compliance gaps.
QUALIFICATIONS/EXPERIENCE BS
Degree in the field of computer information systems, information technology or computer science required. Working knowledge of relevant operating systems, software and hardware. Solid knowledge of Microsoft Windows Server, Active Directory, and network protocols (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP). Communicate effectively with management to provide status updates, ensure compliance with NISPOM requirements and provides guidance on security related questions or concerns. Industry certifications such as CompTIA Network+ or CompTIA A+ preferred. Excellent oral and written communication skills. Experience with network equipment such as managed switches and next-generation firewalls. Excellent problem-solving and critical thinking skills. Efficient troubleshooting abilities. Self-motivated, capable of working independently and able to manage multiple projects and tasks simultaneously. Must be US citizen and eligible for or have active DoD Secret Security Clearance.
