About the Role As a Field Drive Systems Specialist, you will serve as a technical expert responsible for the lifecycle management of Variable Frequency Drive (VFD) systems. You will play a critical role in ensuring operational uptime for our clients by delivering precise installations, expert troubleshooting, and proactive system optimization. Responsibilities Execute the full commissioning, start-up, and functional verification of diverse VFD platforms to ensure peak performance. Drive service department efficiency by managing technical workflows, controlling costs, and meeting key performance objectives. Cultivate long-term client partnerships by delivering high-quality repairs that minimize downtime and prevent repeat service calls. Provide actionable technical insights and upgrade recommendations to clients based on system diagnostics and performance data. Maintain transparent communication with stakeholders regarding project status, technical hurdles, and resolution timelines. Uphold rigorous safety standards, ensuring all field activities comply with industry-best practices and personal protective protocols. Qualifications Required Skills 5+ years of hands-on field experience servicing and configuring multiple VFD manufacturer product lines. Advanced proficiency in three-phase motor theory, control circuits, and electrical schematic interpretation. Expertise in programming and calibrating 4-20mA and 0-10Vdc instrumentation. Proven ability to interpret complex electrical, mechanical, and PID drawings for system integration. Valid driver's license with the physical capability to lift 50 lbs and work at heights. OSHA 30 and SST certifications. Preferred Skills Prior experience with gas detection systems and industrial humidification equipment. Demonstrated success in independent field service roles requiring minimal supervision. Strong technical writing skills for the creation of detailed inspection and appraisal reports.
