Principal Linux Systems Administrator (ONSITE)

What You Will Do You will provide System Administration in a heterogeneous Redhat 8 & 9 Enterprise Linux environment. You will utilize virtualization and containerization technologies, including VMware vCenter, vSphere, Horizon, ESXi, KVM, Podman, Docker, and Kubernetes/OpenShift. Collaborate with engineers, software developers, systems administrators, storage, networking, and high-performance computing teams to resolve complex infrastructure and integration challenges. Partner with cybersecurity teams to ensure continuous compliance with regulatory and security frameworks such as DFARS, RMF, and the NIST Cybersecurity Framework. Provide critical, on-site support for mission systems in a closed DoD area, responding to both planned and emergent tasks, with occasional work outside standard hours and up to 10% travel as required. Obtain and maintain DoD 8140 / 8570 certification (e.g., CompTIA Security+ or equivalent) within six months of hire. Demonstrates flexibility and adaptability to support business needs, including adjusting to shift changes. What We Are Looking For A University Degree or equivalent experience and minimum 5 years prior relevant experience, or An Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 3 years experience Active and transferable U.S. government issued secret security clearance is required prior to start date. Experience with Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL), including system installation, administration, patching, and troubleshooting in enterprise environments. Experience with secure system configurations, system hardening, application settings, and tailoring Linux environments.
