Job Description

The Service Specialist is responsible for reviewing and entering student IEP information and managing relationships with School Districts and Families.
Duties & Responsibilities:
New Case Placement Requests - Processes new case placement requests including understanding IEP Mandates and, as needed, family availability Case Management - Communicates ongoing with School Districts and Students/Families to ensure stakeholder satisfaction with 1099-Provider(s) and overall Blue Sea services. Case Administration - Utilizes Blue Sea Operating System (BOS) and other computer applications (Excel, Word, Outlook) to perform a variety of case administration duties and responsibilities, including but not limited to, creating and monitoring new and existing cases, coordinating progress report and meeting activities, and coordinating new school year activities. Quality Assurance - Performs a variety of quality assurance related activities with School Districts and Students/Families to ensure stakeholder satisfaction and compliance with Standard Operating Procedures. Collaborates Internally with the Clinical Directors and Staffing Coordinators about case requirements and levels.
Required Qualifications:
Minimum Associate's Degree required; Bachelor's Degree, preferred Experience in or with special education preferred Ability to manage large amount of complex information Proficient with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and strong computer skills, ability to learn new programs and software quickly. Excellent communication, organizational, critical thinking, time management, and problem-solving skills
