Responsibilities Assist in configuring and maintaining network hardware including routers, switches, firewalls, load balancers, SAN (Storage Area Network), and RAID controllers to ensure optimal performance. Qualifications Proven experience supporting computer networking environments with knowledge of LAN/WAN architecture and network hardware such as Cisco routers/switches and Juniper devices. Strong understanding of network security principles including firewall management with Cisco ASA devices, VPN configuration for remote access solutions, VLANs, QoS policies for traffic prioritization, and open-source operating systems like Linux distributions including Debian and CentOS. Familiarity with enterprise storage solutions such as SANs with RAID controllers for data redundancy and high availability configurations. Experience with database systems like MS/SQL2026 or similar database management systems focusing on disaster recovery strategies and HA configurations. Knowledge of scripting languages such as Python or Shell Scripting to automate routine tasks; experience with DevOps practices is a plus. Ability to troubleshoot complex network issues efficiently using diagnostic tools like Wireshark or SolarWinds Network Performance Monitor. Strong grasp of ITIL best practices for service management along with experience supporting IT infrastructure components including Active Directory integration and LDAP authentication methods.
