Altamira is searching for a System Administrator in the Dayton, Ohio area, to support one of customers. This role is ideal for someone with deep expertise in Linux systems, containerization, and cloud-native technologies. The successful candidate will play a critical role in managing our development, integration, and production environments, with a particular focus on Kubernetes, Docker, Helm, and maintaining our cloud-based development environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Administer and maintain Linux systems across various environments (development, integration, staging, production). Manage, monitor, and support Docker containers and Kubernetes clusters to ensure high availability and performance. Use Helm to manage and deploy Kubernetes applications efficiently and consistently. Maintain and enhance our cloud-based development environment, ensuring stability, performance, and seamless developer experiences. Collaborate with DevOps and development teams to support CI/CD pipelines and modern development workflows. Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to infrastructure, deployments, and performance. Create and maintain documentation on systems architecture, processes, and configurations.
Required Qualifications:
Proficient with Linux system administration Strong hands-on experience with Docker, Kubernetes, and container orchestration in production settings. Practical knowledge of Helm for Kubernetes application packaging and deployment. Experience maintaining cloud-based development environments. Solid understanding of networking, security, and system monitoring tools. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Proven ability to work effectively in a cross-functional, collaborative team environment.
Preferred Qualifications:
Certified Kubernetes Administrator (CKA) or equivalent certification. Experience with Coder Cloud Development Environment platform configuration, user management, and resource optimization. Active TS/SCI Clearance
