POSITION SUMMARY
Logivision Technologies is seeking a highly skilled Senior Server Engineer to serve as a senior technical resource specializing in server infrastructure, virtualization, Microsoft environments, storage platforms, and disaster recovery solutions. The successful candidate will function as a technical leader, escalation resource, and subject matter expert for Windows and Linux server environments, virtualization platforms, Microsoft 365, Active Directory, storage systems, backups, and infrastructure modernization projects. The ideal candidate possesses deep experience designing, deploying, maintaining, and troubleshooting complex server infrastructures. They will be expected to take ownership of critical systems, provide guidance to other engineers, establish technical standards, and lead infrastructure projects that support highly available and secure customer environments.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Technical Leadership Serve as the senior escalation point for complex server, virtualization, storage, and cloud infrastructure issues. Lead troubleshooting efforts involving operating systems, Active Directory, virtualization platforms, backups, Microsoft 365, and business-critical applications. Provide technical guidance and mentoring to technicians and engineers. Establish and maintain infrastructure standards, deployment procedures, and operational best practices. Participate in infrastructure architecture and technical design reviews. Conduct root cause analysis and corrective action planning for recurring issues and critical incidents. Drive continuous improvement across managed services and project delivery teams. Server & Infrastructure Engineering Design, deploy, and maintain Windows Server environments including Active Directory, Group Policy, DNS, DHCP, file services, Remote Desktop Services, and certificate services. Administer and support Linux server environments including Ubuntu, RHEL, and CentOS systems. Lead server lifecycle initiatives including upgrades, migrations, refreshes, and decommissioning projects. Develop and maintain highly available server and infrastructure solutions. Perform operating system hardening, patch management, monitoring, and performance optimization. Support hybrid infrastructure environments spanning on-premises and cloud resources. Virtualization & Storage Design, deploy, and maintain virtualization environments utilizing Hyper-V, VMware vSphere/ESXi, and Proxmox. Perform virtual machine migrations, clustering, high availability configuration, and storage optimization. Troubleshoot performance and availability issues across virtualized environments. Manage SAN, NAS, RAID, NFS, iSCSI, and enterprise storage platforms. Develop infrastructure capacity planning and lifecycle management strategies. Microsoft 365 & Identity Management Administer Microsoft 365 tenants including Exchange Online, Entra ID, identity synchronization, MFA, and security controls. Support hybrid Active Directory and cloud identity environments. Lead Microsoft 365 migrations, tenant consolidations, and modernization initiatives. Configure identity and access management solutions that align with security best practices. Backup, Recovery & Business Continuity Design, implement, and maintain backup and disaster recovery solutions. Manage Veeam backup environments including replication, offsite retention, immutability, and recovery procedures. Perform restoration testing and disaster recovery validation exercises. Establish backup standards, monitoring practices, and recovery documentation. Assist clients with business continuity planning and infrastructure resiliency initiatives. Infrastructure Security Implement and maintain security best practices across server and infrastructure environments. Manage patching, system hardening, vulnerability remediation, MFA, and least-privilege access controls. Assist in security investigations and remediation efforts. Maintain logging, monitoring, and audit readiness across customer environments. Project Engineering Lead server, virtualization, storage, and Microsoft infrastructure projects from planning through completion. Participate in customer-facing meetings and technical design discussions. Develop migration plans, maintenance procedures, rollback strategies, and validation processes. Coordinate with hardware vendors, software providers, and cloud partners. Create and maintain comprehensive documentation including diagrams, build procedures, disaster recovery plans, and system inventories.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
5+ years of experience in systems engineering, infrastructure engineering, server administration, or advanced technical support. Proven experience supporting business-critical server and virtualization environments.

Strong troubleshooting skills across servers, storage, networking, virtualization, and applications. Strong customer communication and documentation skills. Ability to manage multiple projects and technical escalations simultaneously.
