This hands-on role combines shop and field service. You will prepare, inspect, install, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain CNC and conventional machine tools at the Aldan, PA facility and at customer locations. This position is well suited to someone who enjoys mechanical problem-solving, electrical troubleshooting, industrial machinery, and direct customer interaction. We welcome both developing technicians and experienced service professionals. Responsibilities
  • Prepare new machines for customer shipment.
  • Uncrate, assemble, power up, inspect, and operationally test CNC and conventional machine tools.
  • Complete written inspection and service reports.
  • Install machinery and assist with machine start-ups at customer facilities.
  • Diagnose, troubleshoot, maintain, and repair mechanical and electrical systems.
  • Provide technical support by phone and during on-site service visits.
  • Conduct machine demonstrations and operator training for customers.
  • Document service work, repairs, parts, and maintenance activity accurately.
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment. Qualifications
  • One or more years of industrial-machine installation, maintenance, electrical, or repair experience preferred.
  • Hands-on experience with machine tools or similar industrial equipment preferred.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and working knowledge of industrial electrical systems, including three-phase power.
  • Ability to troubleshoot problems and read blueprints, mechanical drawings, and electrical schematics.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work professionally with customers.
  • Valid driver's license and ability to travel approximately 25-50%, depending on customer demand and project schedules.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a fast-paced team. Preferred Experience

  • Industrial automation Travel Travel generally accounts for approximately 25-50% of the position and may vary based on customer demand and project schedules.
Travel may include customer installations, service calls, machine deliveries, and major industry trade shows. Compensation $20.00-$50.00 per hour, based on experience, technical knowledge, and position responsibilities. KAAST Machine Tools is an equal opportunity employer.
