Job Description

All Lines Technology is seeking a Linux & Windows Systems Administrator with 3-5 years of hands-on experience supporting, maintaining, and deploying Linux and Microsoft systems in a production environment. This role supports a mixed infrastructure environment and requires working knowledge of both Linux and Microsoft platforms. This individual will perform system administration, incident resolution, and NOC‑style operational tasks while following documented procedures and best practices. Success in this role requires strong troubleshooting skills, attention to detail, excellent customer communication, and a mindset grounded in continual improvement. Key Responsibilities Linux Systems Administration Install, configure, maintain, and patch Linux operating systems across client and internal environments Any major distribution (Ubuntu, Red Hat, CentOS, Debian, etc.) Perform operating system upgrades, security patching, and remediation of OS‑level vulnerabilities Deploy fresh Linux OS installations for servers and virtual machines Troubleshoot Linux system performance, services, and application‑level issues Monitor system health and respond to alerts in a NOC/managed services environment Microsoft & Hybrid Environment Support Provide administrative support for: Windows Server (basic to intermediate level) Microsoft 365 tenant services Entra ID (Azure AD) user, group, and access management Assist with identity‑related troubleshooting in hybrid environments Collaborate with Windows‑focused engineers on cross‑platform issues MSP & Operational Responsibilities Work within the ticketing system to document incidents, resolutions, and root causes Follow documented SOPs and escalation paths consistently Accurately determine when issues require escalation to higher tiers Communicate clearly with end users and internal teams via phone, email, and ticket updates Support multiple client environments across varied industries Participate in after‑hours or on‑call rotations as required Knowledge & Continuous Improvement Utilize and contribute to the internal knowledge base Identify opportunities for process improvement and automation Maintain current technical knowledge through ongoing learning and training Required Skills & Experience 3-5 years of Linux system administration experience in a production environment Experience with: Linux OS installation and configuration OS patching and update management Troubleshooting system, service, and performance issues Working knowledge of: Windows Server administration Microsoft 365 services Entra ID (Azure AD) fundamentals Experience in an MSP or multi‑tenant environment preferred Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills Ability to follow documented procedures precisely and consistently Preferred / Plus Skills Experience supporting cloud environments, including: Amazon Web Services (AWS) (EC2, basic networking, infrastructure operations) Microsoft Azure (VMs, storage, networking, or hybrid identity integrations) Familiarity with hybrid cloud environments integrating on prem systems with Azure and/or AWS Experience with identity and access management in cloud environments (Azure AD / Entra ID integrations) Virtualization experience (VMware, Hyper V, or cloud based platforms) Scripting or automation experience (Bash, PowerShell, Python - basic to intermediate) Education & Certifications High School Diploma or GED required Associate or Bachelor's degree in IT or related field preferred Industry certifications are a plus: Linux+ Network+ Microsoft certifications AWS certifications Key Attributes for Success Strong customer service mindset Ability to communicate with both technical and non‑technical users Organized, process‑driven, and detail‑oriented Comfortable working in fast‑paced, multi‑client environments Positive, team‑focused attitude 7QVQ0yq0Hw
