Overview:
Systems Specialist II, ServiceNow Hybrid/Mechanicsburg, PA •Employer will not sponsor work visas for this position now or in the future and is not interested in corp.-to-corp. business arrangements at this time.•The Systems Specialist II is responsible for supporting the successful delivery of ServiceNow platform technical solutions and services. The Systems Specialist II should have an established understanding of ITSM platforms (specifically ServiceNow) along with ITIL, modern SDLC, and Agile processes. The Systems Specialist II supports the continued maturity of established workflows and standards, has a solid understanding of Select Medical's current ServiceNow ecosystem, and must be driven to explore and develop new areas of the platform to ensure their skills are evolving with ServiceNow releases as well as Select Medical's roadmap and vision. Under the direction of senior team members, the Systems Specialist II supports the full SDLC including requirements review, development, technical documentation, testing, and delivery of system enhancements and new functionality, provides production support, researches and communicates identified system improvements, and continually demonstrates an increase in development skills within the Select Medical ServiceNow platform.
Responsibilities:
Support the design, development, and implementation of appropriate solutions through Business and ServiceNow team collaboration with a focus on out-of-the-box functionality. Provide quality production support and new solution implementation by understanding existing application functionality, including business process objectives, business goals, and use cases. Support the system to align with new ServiceNow functionality and best practices through research, training, and documentation. Support the development of integrations with new or existing enterprise platforms. Participate in the ServiceNow development team maturity by learning about and collaborating on ServiceNow Discovery, Service Mapping, Data Certification, Common Service Data Model (CSDM), and Integrations. Support internal/external audits and inspections. Provide transparent project support through clear communication of progress and risks. Maintain technical documentation and follow ServiceNow best practices. Participate in testing and troubleshooting of existing systems. Perform demonstrations of completed functionality and train end-users as appropriate. Communicate effectively with business stakeholders and other IS teams.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree or equivalent education and experience 2-4+ years IS experience, specifically with supporting production software solutions 2-4+ years of development experience in the ServiceNow Platform 2-4+ years of experience in ITIL processes ServiceNow System Admin Certification - required ServiceNow SPM Implementation Certification - preferred Demonstrated experience or working knowledge of web technologies and integrations, including JavaScript, HTML, CSS, and
REST/SOAP
APIs, with the ability to apply these skills within the ServiceNow platform Experience with implementing new technologies and writing technical documentation/standards Process-oriented with experience in following established standards, processes, and methodologies for IT Service Management across the enterprise. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills are essential Strong sense of urgency with excellent attention to detail, time management skills, and self-organization Superior customer service skills Exceptional team player with strong interpersonal and communication skills required Experience with Agile software development methodologies such as Scrum Experience with application lifecycle management platforms (i.e., Microsoft Team Foundation Server (TFS)) for requirements, tasks, testing, and defect tracking Healthcare experience preferred
