Global Access Control Systems is hiring an experienced Access Control Technician to install, troubleshoot, and service commercial security systems. We're looking for someone who takes pride in their work, solves problems, and can complete assignments independently. What You'll Do Install and service access control panels, card readers, keypads, credentials, and telephone entry systems. Install and troubleshoot electric strikes, magnetic locks, electrified hardware, door contacts, and request-to-exit devices. Pull, terminate, label, and test low-voltage wiring. Configure access levels, schedules, credentials, and system software. Diagnose wiring, power supply, network connectivity, and door hardware issues. Read wiring diagrams, floor plans, and installation instructions. Train customers on basic system operation. Complete accurate service reports and communicate job progress, material needs, and issues promptly. What We're Looking For Hands-on experience installing and servicing commercial access control systems. Understanding of door hardware, low-voltage wiring, relays, and basic IP networking. Ability to use a multimeter and troubleshoot problems systematically. Ability to work efficiently, manage assigned tasks, and recognize when additional support is needed. Professional communication and strong customer service skills. Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record. Ability to work from ladders and lifts and perform installation duties, with reasonable accommodation as needed. OSHA-30 certification required within 30 days of hire. Experience with Sicunet, Keri, Linear, Paxton, Ubiquiti, HID, Aiphone, or DoorKing is a plus. CCTV, automatic gate, intercom, and locksmith experience are also valuable. Schedule & Compensation Full-time work at customer sites throughout the Pittsburgh area. Occasional travel, after-hours work, and on-call availability may be required. Compensation will reflect your experience and technical ability.
