Job Description
A growing company in downtown Pittsburgh is looking to hire a System Engineer to serve as the subject?matter expert for patch management and infrastructure monitoring in a Windows environment. This role is central to ensuring the reliability, security, and performance of the company's on?premises and cloud environments, with a strong emphasis on Windows systems, monitoring strategy, and cross?team collaboration. You will take ownership of patching, monitoring, and infrastructure health across a primarily on?prem environment, while also supporting Azure cloud services, M365, Active Directory, disaster recovery, backups, and general server operations. The ideal candidate brings deep experience in patch management, strong monitoring expertise (LogicMonitor or equivalent), and the ability to partner closely with a mature security team. This is a hands?on engineering role that requires initiative, leadership in your areas of expertise, and the ability to work effectively across IT and security teams Required Skills & Experience Serve as the SME for ManageEngine patch management, including patching strategy, execution, reporting, and compliance. Lead infrastructure monitoring efforts using LogicMonitor or equivalent enterprise monitoring tools. Manage and maintain Active Directory, Group Policy, authentication services, Manage core Windows server infrastructure (99% Windows environment). Support M365 Technologies, Teams, Sharepoint, O365, etc. Experience with Disaster Recovery and Backups Azure Cloud Experience Collaborate closely with the security team to ensure alignment with security controls, policies, and best practices. Assist with architecture and modernization efforts across on?prem and cloud environments.
