Full-time Position Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Crushing & Screening Aftersales Service Engineer with extensive electrical knowledge to join our team. This role is responsible for supporting, troubleshooting, and repairing mobile and stationary crushing and screening equipment at customer sites. As our electrical specialist, you will diagnose complex PLC, hydraulic, and electrical failures, commission new machinery, and provide technical training to customers to minimize downtime.
Key Responsibilities Electrical Troubleshooting & Repair:
Diagnose and repair complex electrical issues, including PLC systems, control circuits, sensors, wiring harnesses, and electric motors on crushers, screeners, and conveyors.
Site Service & Commissioning:
Travel to customer sites to perform emergency repairs and installation/commissioning of new or refurbished equipment. Primarily based in Main Office.
Technical Support & Consulting:
Act as the primary technical contact for customers regarding crushing, screening & electrical troubleshooting, providing remote support via phone or email, and on-site consultations.
Interfacing & Diagnostics:
Utilize manufacturer-provided diagnostic software to interface with machine control systems for troubleshooting and software upgrades.
Documentation:
Maintain accurate records of service activities, repairs, parts usage, and technical reports.
Safety Compliance:
Adhere to all company and site-specific safety regulations, including
MSHA/OSHA
protocols, Lockout/Tagout (LOTO), and PPE requirements.
Required Skills & Qualifications Education:
Technical or vocational certification in industrial electronics, electrical engineering, or heavy equipment maintenance preferred.
Experience:
Minimum 3-5 years of experience in heavy equipment maintenance (crushing/screening/mining equipment strongly preferred).
Electrical Expertise:
Extensive knowledge of AC/DC circuits, 3-phase power, PLC troubleshooting, electrical schematics, and hydraulic systems.
Software Proficiency:
Ability to work with diagnostic software and Microsoft Office Suite.
Communication:
Strong verbal and written communication skills to deal directly with customers and technical teams.
Physical Requirements:
Ability to lift up to 25 kg (55 lbs), climb on machines, and work in varied weather conditions.
License:
Valid driver's license. Preferred Qualifications Experience with PLC programming. Experience with specific brands like Powerscreen or any of the other major Crushing & Screening manufacturers.
