Supervisory Responsibilities:
None Reports to: VP, IT Preference will be given to candidates who currently reside within 50 miles from Durham, North Carolina and can reliably commute to our Durham office. This is not a fully remote position.
OCCUPATIONAL SUMMARY
The ERP, Integrations & Business Systems Administrator is responsible for the administration, optimization, integration, data integrity, reporting, training, and continuous improvement of Acumatica ERP and other enterprise business systems. The role serves as a subject-matter expert for ERP configuration, business applications, integrations, data flows, analytics, and user enablement. This position partners with IT, Finance, Operations, Claims, business-unit leaders, executive leadership, developers, and external vendors to maintain reliable systems, resolve complex issues, improve processes, and support data-informed decisions.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Key Responsibilities ERP and Business Systems Administration Serve as the primary administrator and escalation point for Acumatica ERP and assigned enterprise applications. Manage users, roles, permissions, configurations, workflows, approval maps, dashboards, inquiries, imports, scheduled tasks, and system settings. Maintain master data, monitor system processes, troubleshoot transactions, support reconciliations, and protect data integrity. Coordinate application upgrades, releases, enhancements, and lifecycle activities. Maintain system inventories, ownership records, dependencies, and configuration documentation. Enterprise Integrations Administer and monitor integrations between Acumatica and platforms such as Shopify, Stripe, Avalara, FedEx, ShipStation/ShipBlink, Riskonnect/Ventiv, and reporting tools. Investigate failed, delayed, incomplete, duplicated, or rejected transactions and validate inbound and outbound data. Document integration architecture, mappings, business rules, schedules, and downstream dependencies. Coordinate design, testing, deployment, maintenance, and issue resolution with developers and vendors. Recommend improvements to integration reliability, performance, and scalability. Data, Reporting, Training, and Process Improvement Data Analytics and Business Intelligence Retrieve, transform, validate, and analyze ERP and integrated-system data using SQL and approved reporting tools. Analyze financial, operational, claims, customer, inventory, and integration data to identify trends, anomalies, recurring issues, and improvement opportunities. Develop analytical datasets, KPIs, dashboards, management reports, exception reports, and ad hoc analyses. Translate complex data into clear, actionable business information and establish consistent metric definitions. Reporting Tools Tools may include SQL Server, SSRS, Acumatica Generic Inquiries and Dashboards, Microsoft Power BI, Excel, Microsoft Fabric, and other approved analytics platforms. Data Quality and Governance Monitor data quality and identify duplicate, incomplete, inaccurate, or inconsistent records. Develop validation, reconciliation, exception-reporting, and data-quality controls. Investigate discrepancies and document data ownership, mappings, business rules, dictionaries, and critical definitions. Support data governance, classification, retention, and stewardship initiatives. ERP Training and User Enablement Serve as ERP Training Lead and develop role-based curricula, onboarding, refresher, and advanced training. Create manuals, job aids, quick-reference guides, videos, SOPs, process guides, and knowledgebase articles. Provide advanced functional support, identify recurring training gaps, and partner with managers to improve adoption and proficiency. Evaluate training effectiveness and recommend additional support. Process Improvement, Testing, and Change Management Assess current-state processes, document future-state workflows, and identify manual, redundant, or error-prone work. Recommend automation, integration, workflow, and system-utilization improvements and measure results. Develop test cases with the Test Lead and perform system, integration, regression, and user acceptance testing. Validate data before and after changes, document defects, coordinate resolution, support releases, and maintain change records. Vendor, Stakeholder, and Knowledge Management Manage vendor support cases, escalations, release reviews, testing, demonstrations, and enhancement planning. Communicate system impacts to stakeholders and coordinate across IT, business teams, developers, and technology partners. Maintain approved documentation in SharePoint or Microsoft Teams, including SOPs, system guides, integration maps, functional specifications, test results, and troubleshooting resources. Required and Preferred Qualifications Education and Experience Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Business, Accounting, Data Analytics, or a related field; equivalent education and experience may be considered. Seven or more years of experience administering, supporting, implementing, or analyzing enterprise business applications. At least three years of hands-on ERP administration, enterprise integration, or business systems administration experience. Strong SQL experience, including complex queries, data validation, troubleshooting, and analysis. Experience with integrations, data interfaces, imports/exports, data mapping, reporting, dashboards, training, data quality, and process improvement. Technical Knowledge Strong knowledge of Acumatica or a comparable ERP; enterprise systems administration; SQL Server; application integrations; data imports, exports, mapping, and validation; reporting and dashboards; workflow configuration; business process analysis; Excel; SharePoint; and Microsoft Teams. Preferred Qualifications Acumatica or comparable ERP certification and experience administering enterprise integrations. Experience with Power BI, Microsoft Fabric, Power Automate, Riskonnect/Ventiv, Shopify, Stripe/BigCommerce, Avalara/AvaTax, and shipping platforms. Knowledge of APIs, JSON, XML, web services, data migration, data cleansing, and ERP implementation or reimplementation. Experience developing formal ERP training programs; relevant business analysis, project management, or data analytics certification. Experience in insurance, financial services, nonprofit, healthcare, or another regulated environment. Performance Measures Measures may include ERP and business-system reliability; integration success; reductions in transaction failures, defects, recurring support issues, and manual work; data, import, report, and dashboard accuracy; training completion and user adoption; successful upgrades and enhancements; documentation completeness; process-improvement results; and stakeholder satisfaction. Work Environment This is a hybrid position based in Durham, North Carolina, with regular in-office collaboration. The role interacts frequently with IT, Finance, Operations, Claims, executive leadership, business managers, users, developers, vendors, and external technology partners. Occasional after-hours support may be required for upgrades, releases, critical incidents, data migrations, major integrations, financial processing periods, and IT project launches.
