Job Description
Position Summary Our client is seeking an IT Asset & Software Administrator to support the day-to-day administration, reporting, purchasing, and management of IT hardware and software assets. This role will focus heavily on analyzing data related to laptops, computers, printers, software licenses, and IT tickets to identify trends and determine next steps. The ideal candidate is highly organized, analytical, and comfortable working with ServiceNow, Excel, and IT asset management processes. This position will also serve as a key point of contact for expedited IT tickets and will work closely with vendors, internal teams, and the Tier 2 desktop support team. While the role is primarily administrative and analytical, the individual will occasionally assist with desktop support activities as needed. Key Responsibilities Audit, track, organize, and maintain accurate inventories of laptops, computers, printers, and other IT hardware assets. Receive and process new hardware into the organization's hardware management and asset tracking systems. Manage hardware purchasing, including obtaining vendor pricing and processing purchase orders. Coordinate software purchasing, renewals, licensing, and compliance activities. Work with vendors to obtain pricing, process orders, and manage software license renewals. Maintain accurate software license allocations and ensure compliance with licensing requirements. Create and maintain reports in ServiceNow related to hardware, software, tickets, and IT operations. Analyze data and develop pivot tables, charts, presentations, and other reporting tools to help identify trends and determine next steps. Perform ad hoc data analysis and manipulation in Excel using functions such as VLOOKUP, INDEX/MATCH, and other data analysis techniques. Maintain live documentation, including master software and purchasing documents. Create and update Knowledge Base articles, SOPs, procedures, and other IT documentation. Manage ticket and task administration within ServiceNow, including monitoring and expediting priority or time-sensitive requests. Serve as a point of contact for expedited tickets and help ensure requests are routed and addressed appropriately. Support the CompuCom Tier 2 desktop support team by helping coordinate processes, information, and resources needed for success. Provide occasional hands-on desktop support assistance to the team, including troubleshooting hardware, software, and end-user issues.
