Senior Windows Server Systems Administrator Location:

$40.00/HR - $78.00/HR on W2
Security Clearance:
Candidate subject to a Government Public Trust security investigation; current clearance not required, but assignment begins after clearance approval
Responsibilities:
Configure and troubleshoot Windows Server operating systems supporting Active Directory, DNS, and Certificate Authorities Demonstrate extensive understanding and management of Active Directory systems and maintain them effectively Manage DNS, Certificate Authority, Certificate Management, and Authentication Services such as ADFS, SAML, SSO, and OKTA Apply STIG and VPR security adjustments as needed to ensure compliance Manage and monitor the certificate environment to ensure timely issuance and installation without outages Develop scripts to check system health and automate monitoring of Active Directory, DNS, and Certificate Authorities Design, develop, and support scalable, redundant infrastructure, including physical, virtualized, and cloud environments Install, configure, and manage Windows-based certificate authority servers Configure group management policies, including role-based management; set up administrator and service accounts Maintain system documentation, optimize performance, and install system-wide software updates Implement security controls based on NIST and DISA guidelines, including security hardening changes Perform critical system patches and manage storage space effectively Enhance infrastructure to incorporate the latest technologies and cross-application integrations Collaborate daily with engineering teams and system owners to influence design and architecture solutions in multi-tier environments Manage project priorities, deliverables, and deadlines efficiently Produce clear technical documentation for all solutions delivered
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree from an accredited college in Computer Science, Systems Engineering, or a related discipline, with 8+ years of relevant experience; Master's degree with 6+ years of relevant experience accepted as substitution Proficiency in orchestrating workflows with data dependencies and automation, including PowerShell scripting Minimum of 5 years of experience with Directory Services (Microsoft Active Directory, Entra ID/Azure AD) At least 4 years of experience providing Tier
II & III
Windows support Experience with Authentication services such as ADFS, OKTA, or equivalent (minimum 3 years) Experience managing certificates and certificate authorities from providers like Microsoft, Digicert, Entrust/Sectigo, SSL.com Strong collaboration skills across disciplines and ability to operate independently Excellent verbal and written communication skills to convey complex technical concepts effectively Willingness to work on-call as needed and handle diverse technical responsibilities System One, and its subsidiaries including Joulé and Mountain Ltd., are leaders in delivering outsourced services and workforce solutions across North America.
