Systems Administrator (Storage & Data Services)
Location:
- Raymond, OH (Hybrid, 4 days onsite / 1 day remote)
Duration:
- Long-Term Contract Overview We are seeking a detail-oriented
- Systems Administrator
- to support a growing enterprise storage and data services environment.
- Coordinate intake and onboarding activities for new storage and data management use cases.
- Collect and maintain business, technical, retention, and operational requirements from stakeholders.
- Ensure onboarding checklists, approvals, configurations, and support documentation are completed accurately.
- Validate metadata requirements and onboarding standards prior to production deployment. Metadata, Retention & Configuration Support
- Assist with configuring and validating metadata that supports data search, retrieval, retention, and traceability.
- Support implementation of retention policies, storage tiering strategies, naming conventions, and access controls.
- Ensure use cases align with established governance, compliance, and operational standards. Operations & Support
- Support IT service management (ITSM) processes, including onboarding requests, access requests, configuration changes, and operational support tickets.
- Monitor storage platform health, capacity utilization, data movement processes, and recurring operational issues.
- Gather information for support incidents, coordinate troubleshooting efforts, and escalate issues when appropriate.
- Work closely with infrastructure, application, network, and data services teams to support platform operations. Documentation & Continuous Improvement
- Maintain system documentation, operational procedures, knowledge articles, and support records.
- Help identify process improvements and contribute to operational best practices.
- Participate in service reviews, lessons learned, and knowledge-sharing initiatives. Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
- Experience supporting IT infrastructure, systems administration, operations, or technical support environments.
Understanding of:
- Storage concepts and file management
- Windows file shares
- Metadata and data classification principles
- Data retention and governance concepts
- ITSM workflows and ticketing systems
- Operational monitoring and troubleshooting
- Strong organizational skills with exceptional attention to detail.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and maintain accurate technical records.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills. Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with
- AWS cloud services
- Windows Server administration experience
- Familiarity with ServiceNow
- or similar IT service management platforms
- Experience supporting enterprise storage, infrastructure, or data management environments
- Working knowledge of reporting tools, dashboards, and documentation repositories What You'll Gain
