We are currently seeking a skilled and motivated Windows Systems Administrator to join our client's support team hybrid in Cambridge, MA This is a 1-year Contract with possible annual extensions. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background in an enterprise environment. The tech will also provide support to client employees, both remote and local, to ensure the seamless operation of technology systems and equipment.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Responsible for all functions related to server both OS and hardware Provide (remote) first / second-line technical support to end-users, addressing hardware, software, and network-related issues Install, configure, and maintain computer systems, software, and peripherals Diagnose and resolve technical issues in a timely manner, escalating problems as needed Collaborate with other IT team members to implement and maintain IT policies and procedures Create and maintain documentation for IT processes, procedures, and configurations Stay up-to-date with the latest trends and technologies in IT support
Skills and Qualifications:
Minimum 5 to 7+ years of experience supporting Windows servers required Must have hardware, software, raid config, and patching experience Proven experience in IT support or a related role in an enterprise environment Proficient in configuring and maintaining Windows operating systems, with additional knowledge of Linux / WSL MacOS knowledge as a plus Strong knowledge of computer systems, networks, and hardware Excellent remote troubleshooting and problem-solving skills Experience with IT security practices and protocols Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a regulated environment Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Wage Range :
The hourly rate for this position is between $37.50 - $50.00 per hour. Factors which may affect starting pay within this range may include geography/market, skills, education, experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.
