Job Description

DPP is seeking a Network Administrator for an opportunity to support enterprise network and identity services in an NOC in Cayce, SC. Work location : Onsite in Cayce, SC; some travel to Field Offices around the state

12 months, with possibility of extension

W2 contract Position description: The Network Administrator , under the general guidance of the assigned Network Operations Center Manager, will coordinate daily/weekly assignments for the deployment, operational support, diagnostics, and troubleshooting of the agency's critical enterprise architecture. The Network Administrator will work with Network, Security, and other IT professional groups and non-IT staff to assist with problem resolution, mitigation of issues, and to provide technical solutions. The Network Administrator will ensure assignments are completed accurately and on-time, and regularly provide progress, tasks, and deliverables status updates to the assigned project manager.
Basic qualifications:
Ability to perform on-site physical network work, including lifting 40 lbs. of equipment several times a day and working on ladders Valid driver's license and ability to travel statewide to remote sites with a state OR Personal Vehicle Strong verbal and written communication skills with both technical and non ‐ technical staff Strong interpersonal and customer service skills
Responsibilities:
Support enterprise network and identity initiatives including SD-WAN deployment, PKI lifecycle management, and secure authentication services Monitor, identify, and remediate issues with Agency enterprise network and identity services Support network connectivity and authentication services on Windows-based systems Support connectivity and secure access on mobile devices (i.e., Apple devices) Manage the network and identity infrastructure lifecycle at all stages Create and maintain network documentation (e.g., diagrams, coverage, and design documentation) Assist with deployment, configuration, and support of SD-WAN, PKI, and secure authentication solutions Perform enterprise network deployments, installations, and upgrades Perform firmware/software/security/feature upgrades across network and identity platforms Monitor Agency trouble ticket system and complete assigned network, authentication, and connectivity tickets Will serve as the Agency's primary support resource for network and access-related (authentication) technical issues, troubleshooting and resolving most common/routine problems Assists Agency staff/contractors in resolving network, authentication, and connectivity-related problems Coordinate and assist with testing and validation of network and identity solutions Adhere to state and Agency security and IT policies and standards Work closely with key stakeholder groups, including Network, Security, and Server Hosting to ensure the appropriate level of engagement and focus is maintained Assists various IT groups with other tasks as assigned such as with system/network installations and upgrades (i.e. racking equipment) Create, maintain, and review/improve upon network and identity documentation Ability to plan, organize, review, and implement associated project milestones to completion Provides updates to Project Team Perform other tasks and duties as assigned Required skills: 3+ years of experience with Enterprise Network Infrastructure and LAN Administration 3+ years of experience with installing, configuring, and troubleshooting switches and wireless access points 3+ years of experience with SD-WAN, PKI, and secure authentication services 3+ years of experience with troubleshooting network connectivity on Windows and mobile devices 3+ years of experience with creating, reading, and maintaining network documentation and diagrams Preferred skills: Any current/previously held network or related certification by an industry leader such as CompTIA, Cisco, or Microsoft. (Please indicate whether certificate is active or inactive on resume) Cisco Network Academy or similar bootcamp/training Required education: Associates Degree in a relevant field of work OR high school diploma with equivalent work experience.
