Tennessee , Chattanooga Job Description About the Role We are looking for a skilled CNC Service Engineer to install, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair CNC machinery at customer sites. This role is critical to ensure our clients receive exceptional technical support and experience maximum uptime on their CNC equipment. You will serve as both a technical expert and a customer-facing representative of our organization. Key Responsibilities Installation & Startup Perform installation, setup, alignment, and commissioning of CNC machines. Verify proper operation and train customers on machine functionality and maintenance. Maintenance & Repair Diagnose mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and control system issues. Perform preventative maintenance and emergency repairs. Replace, align, and calibrate machine components as needed. Technical Support Respond to customer service calls, both onsite and remotely. Maintain detailed service records, documentation, and reports. Provide recommendations to customers on machine care, optimization, and upgrades. Customer Interaction Build strong relationships with customers by delivering professional, timely service. Communicate findings and repair plans in a clear, supportive manner. Collaborate with internal teams to relay common issues, trends, and improvement opportunities. Qualifications Required 2+ years of experience servicing CNC machines or industrial manufacturing equipment. Strong knowledge of CNC mechanical systems, PLCs, electrical schematics, and machine controls. Ability to read blueprints, wiring diagrams, and technical documentation. Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills. Willingness to travel frequently to customer sites. Strong communication and customer service skills. Preferred Experience with Fanuc, Siemens, Haas, Mazak, or similar CNC control systems. Associate degree or certification in Mechanical, Electrical, or Mechatronics Technology. Background in machine tool installation or field service work.
