Clarificion from the agency Open to current permanent FAA employees. Duties Help The ADO manager is responsible for an ADO th includes 2 Large, 3 Medium, and 7 Small hub airports. This responsibility includes 199 Federally funded airports throughout the stes of Kentucky, North Carolina, and Tennessee, including more than 28 Part 139 certified airports. Supervises the ADO assistant manager and the second line manager for the 19 technical staff engaged in administering all aspects of Airports programs. The selectee is responsible for overseeing and directing the implemention of the Airport Improvement Program (AIP) and the Passenger Facility Charge (PFC) program ensuring, a high level, the approprie coordinion (both internal and external) takes place. The AIP approaches $250 million dollars annually, and the Passenger Facility Charge Program entails more than $204 million dollars in annual collections. Both programs involve airport planning (airport master planning, ste and/or metropolitan system planning) and implemention of the Nional Environmental Policy Act. The AIP requires annual updes to the office of Airports Capital Improvement Plan (ACIP) and include primary and non-primary airports. The Federal Aviion Regulions (FAR) Parts 77, 139, 150, 157 and 158 apply as they pertain to the development of airports. Collabores with all organizions and stakeholders to address corpore level initiives, acting as an Agent of FAA for meeting with DOT, Stes, local municipalities, Airports, etc. The selectee will interface with others to achieve organizional objectives and exercise deleged authority in advising Federal, ste, and local officials on laws, regulions, and innovive solutions regarding airport development and operions. Establishes, monitors, and evalues ADO program goals. Inities, strengthens, or elimines programs or major projects to meet established goals and regional and agency objectives. Reports stus and effectiveness of programs and initiives to higher levels within Airports Division. Provides input to the identificion and resolution of problems and cooperes with officials on mters pertaining to problems and complaints of discriminion. Coordines all program activities with the Division and ensures timely and responsive customer service. Ensures airport development projects provide the protection and enhancement of the environment and sponsor compliance with the terms of agreements entered into as a condition of receiving federal assistance. Oversee the conveyance of surplus public property to communities for airport purposes. Provides the advisory service to the public on airport safety, planning, design, construction, environmental and maintenance mters. Assures the uniform applicion of FAA airport planning, programming, design, construction and land acquisition standards and policy in federally-assisted airport development projects. Maintains the overall organizional health of all staff members, working with the ADO Assistant Manager to quickly, fairly, and effectively handle any personnel challenges; ensure the development of staff members, and leading the office. Determines any needed Organizional changes to the office structure th allows for more efficient and effective accomplishment of the work and puts these changes into effect. Oversees resources for the ADO and establishes programs to reduce usage and opering costs without adversely affecting overall operion. Exercises the full range of managerial responsibilities to include stregic planning and initiives, communicing the organizion's vision and objectives; setting priorities; monitoring and evaluing performance of organizional units, supervises, coaches and develops ADO Assistant manager and other supervised staff.
