Barstow, TX Job Summary:
Seeking an experienced On-Site Service Engineer to support enterprise data center infrastructure and Dell server environments, including next-generation AI platforms. This is a hands-on, customer-facing role responsible for maintaining server uptime, performing hardware maintenance, troubleshooting complex issues, and delivering high-quality on-site support. Previous AI experience is not required.
Responsibilities:
Provide on-site support for enterprise server and data center hardware. Perform server installations, builds, hardware swaps, and component replacements. Replace CPUs, memory, power supplies, GPUs, and complete server systems. Troubleshoot hardware, firmware, and operating system issues. Perform preventive and reactive maintenance. Apply support plans and standard operating procedures to resolve issues. Install firmware and system updates. Document work performed in real time with accurate service records. Collaborate with customers and internal technical teams. Participate in on-call support and flexible work schedules as required. Continuously learn new technologies, including AI infrastructure.
Required Qualifications:
3-5+ years of experience in data center, field service, enterprise IT, or server support. Hands-on experience supporting enterprise server hardware. Experience with server deployments, hardware replacements, and server builds. Familiarity with Linux operating systems. Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Ability to work independently in a customer-facing environment. Associate's or Bachelor's degree in IT or equivalent experience. Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. U.S. Citizenship required.
Preferred Qualifications:
Dell or other server hardware certifications. Experience with water-cooled servers. Experience building PCs. Experience supporting AI infrastructure or high-performance computing environments.

Lives within a 45-minute commute of the work site. Comfortable with daily on-site work and on-call responsibilities. Demonstrates strong documentation practices. Prioritizes work effectively in fast-paced, mission-critical environments. Works well with customers and team members. Takes initiative and maintains a strong work ethic. Eligible and willing to obtain a security clearance if required.
