PRIMARY PURPOSE:
The Systems Administrator will be responsible for installing, configuring, and maintaining Windows systems and their associated management platforms such as Office , Exchange, SCCM, Active Directory, DHCP, Intune, Azure, and Google. The position will also manage networking equipment across the district to ensure end users have reliable access to resources. This role requires applying best practices in system administration to ensure reliable performance and security. The Systems Administrator will collaborate with IT stakeholders and end users to assess hardware and software needs, define system requirements, and design custom integrations to streamline interoperability between diverse systems. Additionally, they will document system configurations, perform regular updates and maintenance, and troubleshoot issues to maintain an optimal IT environment.
QUALIFICATIONS
EDUCATIONCERTIFICATION • Bachelor's degree • Industry Certification in at least one, preferably more in the following specializations. o Cisco Certified Network Associate o Comp-Tia Certifications (A+, NET+, Project+, Security+, Server+, Linux+) o
Microsoft Certified:
Windows Server Hybrid Administrator Associate o
Microsoft Certified:
Endpoint Administrator Associate
STANDARDS OF PROFESSIONAL CONDUCT
As an employee Goose Creek CISD, I will follow Board Trustees Policies DH (Local) and DH (Exhibit), the GCCISD Employee Handbook, and all local, state, and federal laws and policies.
SPECIAL KNOWLEDGESKILLS
Microsoft Windows server and workstation installation, administration, and management experience. Managing and maintaining physical and logical devices. Managing users, computers, and groups on the network. Managing and maintaining access to resources in a server environment, including disaster recovery. Installation, administration, and management experience with local area networks and wide area networks, network device communication, uninterruptible power supplies, and infrastructure network electronics.
EXPERIENCE
Minimum year experience with technology applied to an educational setting. Possess strong communication skills. Ability to handle multiple concurrent projects.
Driving:
Valid Texas driver's license and be insurable.

Installation and Configuration:
a. Design, install, configure, maintain, and oversee enterprise networks. This includes servers, workstations, and related administrative and instructional software. b. Install, configure, and maintain network hardware such as switches, routers, and access points.

System Maintenance:
a. Oversee and perform continuous monitoring equipment for immediate discovery malfunctions, inaccurate operation, and programming. b. Troubleshoot and repair faults in wiring, devices, or systems. .
Testing and Quality Assurance:
a. Conduct thorough testing installed systems to ensure they meet specifications and comply with regulations. b. Verify the integrity connections, wiring, and equipment to guarantee optimal performance. .
Documentation:
a. Maintain accurate records installations, configurations, maintenance activities, and system testing. b. Provide documentation to staff, co-workers, and contractors, outlining system details, installation recommendations, and operational procedures. .
Collaboration:
a. Coordinate with staff, co-workers, and contractors to ensure seamless integration software and hardware into larger projects, including installation and design recommendations. b. Communicate effectively with staff, co-workers, and contractors to understand their requirements and address concerns. .
Upgrades and Expansion:
a. Upgrade existing systems by incorporating new technologies or expanding the scope current installations. b. Review current systems and ensure that secure versions software are installed on them. .
Compliance:
a. Stay updated on industry regulations, codes, and standards related to networking and server environment. b. Stay current with cybersecurity trends, threats, and technologies to proactively implement recommendations and protect district assets. c. Ensure that all installations adhere to relevant safety and compliance guidelines. .
Professional:
a. Participate as an effective team member who contributes to district, department, and content goals and works collaboratively with others. b. Utilize time wisely for effective management job responsibilities. c. Stay up to date professionally through the selection quality staff development opportunities for personal growth. Certification in job duties is required. d. Coordinate multiple projects, complete, and update work order requests. . All other duties as assigned.
