Childress, TX Role Overview:
Seeking experienced On-Site Service Engineers to support enterprise data center and Dell server environments, including AI infrastructure platforms. This is a hands-on field/data center support role focused on hardware troubleshooting, maintenance, deployments, and uptime support.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide on-site support for Dell servers and enterprise data center hardware. Perform server builds, swaps, deployments, and component replacements. Troubleshoot hardware, firmware, and OS-related issues. Replace CPUs, memory, power supplies, GPUs, and full servers. Execute preventive and reactive maintenance tasks. Follow support Plans of Action (POA). Maintain detailed real-time documentation. Support on-call rotations and flexible schedules. Coordinate with internal teams and customers during incidents.
Required Skills:
3-5+ years of server, field service, or data center support experience. Strong hands-on server hardware experience. Experience with: CPU replacement. Memory replacement. Power supply replacement. GPU replacement. Server swaps/deployments. Rack and stack activities. Linux familiarity. Strong troubleshooting skills. Customer-facing communication skills. Ability to work independently. Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
Preferred:
Dell certifications. Experience with water-cooled servers. Experience building PCs. AI infrastructure exposure.
Education:
Associate or Bachelor's degree in IT or related field preferred. Equivalent experience accepted.
Schedule:
Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM On-call support required Occasional shift flexibility required
