Azure Fundamentals Position Description:
The Tier 2 Systems Administrator provides enterprise-level operations and sustainment support for the Defense Health Agency's (DHA) Domain and Directory Services Branch (DDSB). This role delivers advanced troubleshooting, monitoring, and sustainment of both on-premises MECM and MED365 cloud/tenant environments, ensuring the availability, reliability, and security of enterprise systems. Troubleshoot and resolve incidents related to enterprise infrastructure, services, firmware, and applications across MECM, MED365, and related platforms. Support DHA's eDiscovery operations, including data collection, preservation, processing, and purging activities for litigation, audits, and investigations. Provide and maintain SITREPs, After Action Reports (AARs), and Unscheduled Downtime Reports (UDRs) for critical service outages and unplanned interruptions. Monitor system health, availability, and performance using enterprise monitoring tools (e.g., SCOM, MECM dashboards), escalating issues as necessary. Collaborate with Tier 3 Administrators and Engineering teams to implement corrective actions, ensure patch compliance, and maintain enterprise operational readiness. Participate in enterprise knowledge transfer and continual service improvement initiatives, contributing technical insights and procedural documentation.
Develops:
Troubleshooting and resolution reports of UDRs, SITREPs, and AARs for outages; Discovery audit support documentation; Monitoring and system status reports Tier 2 Systems Administrators provide the front line of advanced technical support; bridging Tier 1 service desk operations with Tier 3 enterprise engineering teams. By maintaining system stability, documenting outages, and ensuring timely resolution of enterprise incidents, this role safeguards DHA's mission-critical IT services and end-user operations.
