The Opportunity:
CACI is seeking an IT professional to provide AF DCGS Desktop Common Workstation (DCW) support for workstations leveraging virtualization technology in a secure enterprise environment. The primary responsibilities for this position are hardware/software installation and problem analysis and resolution, software installation and configuration, responding to service outages, and acting as the subject matter expert (SME) for all facets of the customer's workstation.
Responsibilities:
  • Install, maintain, and operate AF DCGS Desktop Common Workstation (DCW).
  • Install, support, and maintain workstations, tuning system performance, installing system wide software.
  • Plan for and respond to service outages and other problems.
  • Routinely perform system checks (processes, services, network, storage) to ascertain overall system health.
  • Apply operating system updates and configuration changes.
  • Install and configure new software.
  • Answer technical queries and is jointly responsible for security, documenting configuration management, troubleshooting any reported problems and conducting system performance tuning.
  • Provide technical guidance to Tier 1 and 2 personnel.
  • Responsible for the integrity, confidentiality and availability of information systems through patch management, antivirus installation and signature file updates and data archival/restoral.
  • Conduct systems analysis and development to keep systems as current as possible with changing technology.
  • Carry out above assigned duties working cohesively with other assigned system administrators, engineers, and network/communications technicians.
Qualifications:
Required:
  • Active Top Secret/SCI.
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field.
  • Minimum 5 years of related experience.
  • Security + CE certification.
  • Strong Linux and Scripting experience.
Desired:
  • Experience with the following technologies: Windows, SecureView, Virtualization, Puppet, Git, Container Formats (e.
g. Docker), SCCM, Container Orchestration (e.g. Kubernetes). -

Pay Range:
There are a host of factors that can influence final salary including, but not limited to, geographic location, Federal Government contract labor categories and contract wage rates, relevant prior work experience, specific skills and competencies, education, and certifications.
