Job Requirements Reston, VA Top Secret/SCI Polygraph not specified Career Level not specified $187,000 - $197,600 Job Description Overview The Resident Services Engineer (RSE) provides post‑sales technical services to customers and partners, focusing on network visibility, security guidance, and solution implementation. This role is dedicated to helping customers realize business value quickly, strengthening solution adoption, and ensuring high‑quality service delivery. Success in this role is measured by accelerated time to value, customer satisfaction, delivery quality, and expanded use of the organization's technologies and services. Key Responsibilities
  • Serve as the primary technical resource for assigned customers throughout the engagement lifecycle.
  • Partner closely with customer stakeholders and internal account teams to deliver solutions and identify future project opportunities.
  • Lead discovery, design, and implementation of network visibility and security solutions.
  • Assess and validate use‑cases, security policies, and procedures with customer business units.
  • Collaborate with system architects to ensure compliance with security requirements and support review cycles.
  • Ensure systems and applications meet relevant security standards, policies, and procedures.
  • Work with visibility/security teams to support compliance efforts aligned with privacy and security regulations, and applicable federal, state, and local laws.
  • Provide technical mentorship across the organization and present on network visibility and information security topics.
  • Communicate technical solutions effectively to both technical and non‑technical audiences.
  • Prepare engagement status reports, follow technical guidelines, and contribute ideas for improving processes and policies.
  • Earn customer trust and build long‑term advisory relationships.
  • Support global, real‑time cyber defense missions by working flexible hours when necessary.
  • Operate independently while collaborating effectively with cross‑functional, virtual teams.
  • Complete all required corporate and customer compliance training.
  • Submit timely Weekly Activity Reports (WARs). Qualifications Required
  • 10+ years of experience as a network visibility or security engineer supporting multi‑national organizations.
  • Ability to support Federal customers; U.S. citizenship or residency may be required.
  • Strong influencing, negotiation, and communication skills.
  • Experience leading initiatives without formal authority.
  • Effective working style with global, virtual, and cross‑functional teams.
  • Ability to manage high‑pressure situations involving executives and key stakeholders.
  • Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and multitasking abilities.
  • Experience with NIST Risk Management Framework, DoDI 8500.2 STIGs, ATO compliance/testing.
  • Ability to translate technical information for non‑technical audiences.
  • Deep understanding of confidentiality, integrity, availability, and their application across technologies.
  • Active U.S. Government security clearance (TS/SCI with CI Poly) with willingness/ability to maintain additional clearances as required. Desired
  • Experience delivering solutions to Federal, State, or Local Government agencies.
  • Understanding of regulatory environments (Privacy, EU Directives, SOX).
  • Cloud/Virtualization Certifications (VMware, AWS, Azure, CCSP).
  • Security Certifications (CISSP, CISM).
  • Networking Certifications (CCNA, CCNP, JNCIA, JNCIP).
  • Professional visibility platform certifications (e.
