This is not a remote role, and expenses are not reimbursed. We're seeking a hands-on systems administrator to support a Transportation Operations Center in Staunton, Virginia. This role combines server administration with Tier 1-3 technical support and customer service. Work is on-site in Staunton. The assignment is currently scheduled through June 30, 2027; the start date is being confirmed. Compensation options $25/hour W2 with paid holidays only $30/hour corp-to-corp through your own established company, with no third-party vendors Responsibilities Configure and deploy new or replacement Red Hat Linux and Windows servers. Support desktop, laptop and server hardware; troubleshoot system connections and user issues. Administer accounts, provisioning and patches, maintain documentation and inventory, and monitor system capacity and performance. Support virtualization, backups and recovery, cybersecurity activities, and the infrastructure used by GIS and asset-management systems. Provide Tier 1-3 help-desk support and clear, responsive customer service.

Required experience:
