- Hands-on experience installing and troubleshooting WAN/LAN equipment (routers, switches, multiplexers) and circuits
- knowledge of Cisco internetworking (IP addressing, VLANs, VTP, 802.1q, OSPF, EIGRP, BGP, PIM, multicast) and Cisco IOS Nice to Have Skills & Experience

- Maintain uninterrupted operation of local area networks (LAN), wide area networks (WAN), and virtual private networks (VPN).
- Plan, evaluate, and coordinate installation or reconfiguration of data and voice communication hardware/software.
- Troubleshoot network connectivity issues—WAN circuits, equipment failures, router/switch configurations, firewall access control lists, VoIP device registration, and cryptographic device keying.
- Coordinate with Navy, DISA, and commercial carriers for circuit implementation and fault resolution.
- Ensure Information Assurance compliance through IOS upgrades, device configuration changes, and firewall ACL verifications.
- Monitor network performance and conduct short- and long-range capacity planning.
- Develop and maintain network documentation and standard operating procedures.
- Propose cost-effective network design enhancements based on current usage and future requirements.
- Coordinate third-party maintenance and restoration support at remote sites.
