Job Description
The Town of Hartford is seeking a motivated, customer service-oriented Systems Administrator to join our Information Technology team. This position serves as a key technical resource for Town employees and departments, providing day-to-day IT support while assisting with the administration, security, maintenance, and continued improvement of the Town's technology infrastructure. The Systems Administrator will serve as a primary point of contact for IT support requests and will work closely with the IT Director to maintain reliable and secure technology services across the municipality. The position offers an opportunity to work with a broad range of systems, including desktop and endpoint technology, Microsoft 365, mobile device management, cybersecurity tools, communications systems, department-specific applications, and public safety technology. Minimum qualifications include High school diploma, 2-3 years of experience in an IT helpdesk or related field, Valid driver's license and safe driving record, Ability to successfully complete a background check required for access to CJIS data within the Town's Public Safety Network. The ideal candidate is a dependable, service oriented IT professional who can work independently, prioritize competing needs, communicate technical information clearly to non-technical staff, and exercise sound technical judgment. Network Pay range is $33.10 to $45.35 per hour.
