Job Description
Lab Administrator- Quincy, WA Information Technology SOC LLC United States, Washington, Quincy May 20, 2026 Lab Administrator needed for a contract opportunity with SOC's client to work onsite Our client is seeking a skilled Lab Administrator to support day-to-day operations across their technical lab environment. This role is hands-on and fast-paced, requiring someone who can close a high volume of trouble tickets, manage lab hardware and inventory, and keep the environment running cleanly and safely with minimal supervision.
Responsibilities:
Close a high volume of trouble tickets submitted by individuals across the organization Install network and computer equipment, and perform software re-installation on lab devices Add new devices to the database system and maintain accurate inventory records Troubleshoot and replace broken hardware Build and modify topologies between devices, documenting all changes Build and deploy virtual machines using platforms such as OpenStack/Contrail or ESX vCenter Receive, stock, and issue electronic and mechanical equipment and components Verify item quantity and condition, and maintain a controlled storage area for project materials Perform cycle and inventory counting, asset tagging and tracking, and RMA processing Assist Lab Admins in setting up testbeds Configure and troubleshoot JUNOS-based routers and other networking products Maintain a safe, clean, and productive lab environment, including cable removal from racks and auditing areas that have fallen out of policy complianceQualifications:
Technical bachelor's degree or equivalent experience, with a minimum of 3 years of related experience in software development or support Basic UNIX/Linux skills with a hands-on configuration background Knowledge of TCP/IP concepts including CIDR, routing, gateway, IP, and DNS Familiarity with virtual machine deployment and management Strong troubleshooting instincts Ability to work independently with little or no supervisionPreferred Qualifications:
Experience building and changing network topologies Desire to expand knowledge of networking and UNIX concepts Prior experience with JUNOS-based devicesEmployment Prerequisites:
