Northwest Forklift, Inc. is an authorized dealer for Nissan UniCarriers, Linde, Princeton, JLG and Capacity Trailer Jockeys. Currently seeking a qualified Field or Shop Service Technician to add to the service team at our Renton location. Must be a self-starter Field or Shop Service Technician with customer service experience. The primary role of Field or Shop Service Technician is to positively contribute to service department success, improve overall customer satisfaction, maximize customer retention and increase profitability. Automotive backgrounds welcome! Responsibilities Provide service and customer support during field visits or dispatches Tie workflow to schedule Perform preventative maintenance, diagnose and complete repairs in a timely manner Manage all on site installation, repair, maintenance and test tasks Diagnose errors or technical problems and determine proper solutions Produce timely and detailed service reports Document daily processes Operate vehicle in a safe manner and use field automation systems Follow all company procedures and protocols Cooperate and communicate with technical team and share information Comprehend customer requirements and make appropriate recommendations/briefings Manage parts inventory on your service truck Build positive relationships with customers Attend training as required Requirements Proven Field Service experience in I.C. and Electrical Background Diesel knowledge (preferred not required) Ability to troubleshoot, test, repair and service material handling equipment. Ability to read and understand Hydraulic and Electrical schematics. Must have valid WA driver's license and a good driving record. Background check and drug test are required.
