Quality Systems Specialist Req #2433 Wauwatosa, WI, USA Apply Share Job Description Posted Monday, September 14, 2026 at 12:00 AM The Quality Systems Specialist supports and leads Quality Department operations, including QMS governance, customer quality, compliance, auditing, corrective action, and continuous improvement. Requires strong analytical, problem-solving, organizational, and communication skills with a focus on maintaining and improving quality standards. Salary offered for this position is $60K annually
What You'll Do:
Quality Management System (QMS): Lead QMS governance and effectiveness; maintain procedures, work instructions, records, and document control. Ensure IATF 16949 and
ISO 9001
compliance, audit readiness, certification readiness, and standardized execution; train employees on QMS requirements.
Customer Quality:
Serve as the primary interface for customer quality incidents, complaints, rejections, scorecards, and communications. Manage customer portals, lead customer 8D responses, coordinate plant and customer containment, sorting, rework, warranty, yard holds, recalls, customer audits, and visits. Ensure timely customer communication and resolution.
Auditing & Compliance:
Plan, manage, and conduct GQS, IATF, customer, third-party, and regulatory audits. Manage audit findings and corrective actions; issue, track, and close Corrective Action Notices (CANs).
Corrective Action & Continuous Improvement:
Investigate quality issues, conduct root-cause analysis, lead cross-functional problem solving, implement and verify corrective actions, and drive systemic improvements. Lead Fast Response activities and reduce customer incidents, PPM, RMA costs, sorting costs, and chargebacks.
Process & Product Quality:
Monitor manufacturing process changes for quality compliance, develop and maintain product sampling plans, support product inspection and verification, assist with PPAP preparation, review, submission, and record maintenance.
Gauge & Calibration Management:
Manage gauges and measuring equipment, coordinate calibrations, maintain calibration records and controls, address out-of-calibration conditions and potential product impact.
Supplier Quality:
Evaluate and monitor supplier performance. Address supplier quality issues, coordinate and follow up on supplier corrective actions and improvement activities.
Quality Performance:
Monitor and communicate quality metrics, trends, customer performance, audit status, and corrective action progress. Identify improvement opportunities and support achievement of quality objectives.
Other Duties:
Participate in cross-functional quality activities and meetings, provide quality guidance and training, maintain confidentiality, and perform other duties as assigned. Why You'll Love Working for

What We Need From You:
High school diploma or GED required; post-secondary education in a related field preferred. At least 3 years of experience in a related manufacturing or quality inspection role. Working knowledge of source inspection methods and inspection of various parts. Strong math, computer, and communication skills. Ability to read and interpret blueprints and accurately measure parts. Proficiency with precision measuring tools, including calipers, depth micrometers, height gauges, and CMM equipment. Knowledge of part inspection and statistical reporting is preferred. Ability to understand and follow verbal and written instructions.
Physical Requirements:
Ability to lift up to 100 lbs. occasionally. Frequent standing and hand/grip use. Ability to walk frequently and bend, stoop, squat, and kneel as needed. Ability to perform repetitive hand and arm movements.
