Full Job Description Position Description:
Purpose The Information Systems Technician - provides networking, hardware, and software support to TRC and its clients located in multiple locations. This position will be based out of Arizona but will travel and support locations in California and Minnesota and provide remote overflow support to Ohio. Essential Functions• Maintain network hardware and software including switches, phones, cameras, and gates Provides basic technical support and assistance via email, phone, and/or other remote methods. Ensure network security and connectivity Knowledge of networking equipment and maintenance including managing fiber, patch panels, and ethernet connections. Knowledge should include advanced understanding of VLANs as well. Knowledge of Office 365 with an emphasis on Purview and Exchange Knowledge of Azure AD, Azure cloud services, Powershell, and the Microsoft Dataverse Assist with printer setup, maintenance, and troubleshooting Adhere to network and data policies and procedures TRC, Inc. is an equal employment opportunity employer and is willing to make a change or adjustment to a job or work environment that allows a qualified individual with a disability to satisfactorily perform the essential functions of a particular job. •Nothing in this job description restricts management's right to assign and reassign duties and responsibilities to this job at any time. Other Duties and Responsibilities (Non-Essential Functions) Assist in configuring, documenting, and maintaining various aspects of the IS infrastructure, including supporting other locations as needed. This support can be either remote or in person. Make technical decision with moderate supervision Basic knowledge of Cybersecurity principles. Basic knowledge of PowerShell Support TRC Inc.'s Quality and EH&S (Environmental, Health, and Safety) efforts Qualifications Associates degree in Computer Sciences or other technical school degree in computing, networking, or information technology preferred Advanced networking skills Proficient technology hardware and software skills Project management skills Experience in evaluating and improving system performance Demonstrate knowledge of Meraki networks Solid understanding of fiberoptics including testing Ability to travel Working conditions Standard office, climate controlled environment Physical requirements Ability to move objects weighing up to 50 pounds Capable of positioning one's self into bending, stretching, climbing, or awkward positions Must be able to remain in a stationary position for an extended period of time Ability to operate a computer and other office equipment Ability to communicate with customers and fellow co-workers
