In this role, you will be the frontline hero for resolving technical issues, ensuring seamless IT operations, and delivering exceptional customer service to users across various platforms. Your expertise will help maintain optimal computer and network performance, troubleshoot software and hardware challenges, and support the overall IT infrastructure. Responsibilities Provide comprehensive technical support to end-users via help desk channels, including troubleshooting hardware, software, and network issues. Assist with software troubleshooting across multiple operating systems such as Windows, macOS, and Linux. Manage computer hardware components, including desktops, laptops, mobile devices, and peripherals, ensuring they operate efficiently. Support computer management tasks like deploying updates using tools such as SCCM (System Center Configuration Manager) and configuring Group Policy Objects (GPO). Configure and troubleshoot network connectivity issues involving LAN (Local Area Network), WAN (Wide Area Network), VPNs (Virtual Private Networks), DNS (Domain Name System), TCP/IP protocols, firewalls, and network devices like Meraki equipment. Maintain IT infrastructure by supporting server environments including Windows Server and Linux servers; assist with Active Directory management and user account provisioning. Utilize ticketing systems such as ServiceNow or Jira to document issues, track resolutions, and escalate complex problems when necessary. Collaborate with cross-functional teams on network administration tasks including TCP/IP configuration, DNS management, firewall rules, and network security measures. Support remote users by troubleshooting VPN access issues and configuring mobile devices for secure connectivity. Assist in maintaining security protocols by managing firewalls, monitoring network activity, and supporting BMC Remedy incident management processes. Experience Proven experience in providing IT support or help desk services within a fast-paced environment. Strong knowledge of desktop support for Windows and macOS operating systems; familiarity with Linux is a plus. Hands-on experience with computer networking concepts such as LAN/WAN setup, TCP/IP protocols, DNS configuration, VPNs, firewalls (including Meraki), and network administration tools. Skilled in troubleshooting software issues related to Microsoft Office applications and enterprise tools like ServiceNow or Jira. Familiarity with managing computer hardware components and operating systems; experience with SCCM deployment is advantageous. Ability to analyze technical problems quickly using analysis skills to identify root causes and implement effective solutions. Excellent communication skills to clearly explain technical concepts to non-technical users while maintaining a positive attitude. Knowledge of Active Directory management for user account control; experience with Microsoft Windows Server environments is preferred.
