NOC Technician Position Summary The Network Operations Center (NOC) Technician serves as the first point of contact for customers experiencing network or internet service issues. Primary Responsibilities Answer customer calls, emails, and support tickets. Perform first-level troubleshooting for internet, Wi-Fi, CPE, ONTs, and outages. Document troubleshooting. Monitor network alarms. Escalate unresolved issues. Communicate with customers. Follow runbooks. Participate in shift turnover. Provide Level II support. Assist technicians and installers. Diagnose Layer 2/3 issues. Analyze outages and performance. Coordinate with Network Engineers. Perform approved network changes. Maintain documentation. Mentor technicians. Required Skills Customer service Basic TCP/IP, DHCP, DNS, Wi-Fi knowledge, Routing & Switching Communication skills Ethernet, VLANs, IPv4/IPv6 Fiber/access network troubleshooting Analytical and communication skills Preferred Experience 1-5 years NOC/ISP experience
