Job Description

14510 - Network Technician (onsite) -
Ocoee, FL Start Date :

12+ months with possible extensions
Work Setting:
Travel for this role is expected on a weekly basis to Auburndale, FL; with onsite presence five days at the client's location in Ocoee. Only candidates able to relocate as required should apply to avoid removal from future consideration.
Required:
  • Availability to work 100% of the time at the Client's site in Ocoee, FL (required);
  • Experience in IT infrastructure/network environments (0-1 year);
  • Experience with HPE/Aruba networking equipment;
  • Experience with Preparation, configuration, and support of Windows 11 systems, Active Directory, MECM;
  • Willingness and ability to travel regularly; valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
Preferred:
  • CompTIA Network+ and/or Security+, Cisco CCNA. Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:
  • Configure, manage, and maintain network infrastructure—including switches, routers, fiber distribution, and workstation connectivity—to ensure reliable LAN, WLAN, and WAN operations;
  • Monitor network performance, protocol compatibility, and system health using network management tools; identify faults and implement corrective actions;
  • Troubleshoot and resolve network issues, including multiplexers, hubs, wireless systems, and remote connectivity, ensuring minimal service disruption;
  • Perform capacity planning, assess network risks, and support contingency strategies to maintain stable, high‑quality network services;
  • Collaborate with Information Security to communicate firewall rule requirements and support secure deployment of new equipment and applications;
  • Track incidents, equipment transfers, and service activities accurately in ITSM tools such as ServiceNow, following departmental policies and procedures;
  • Provide on‑site and remote support—including travel to FDOT offices and remote locations—and participate in after‑hours on‑call rotations as required;
  • Must be able to lift 50 pounds.
