Overview:
To provide ongoing technical support for staff and students using audiovisual technology devices and related software.
Qualification:
2 years of audiovisual related experience or a similar field Demonstrated experience working with end-user technical support in a responsive, helpful, courteous, positive attitude, and tactful manner leading to timely and appropriate resolution or escalation. Experience working with children is preferred. Wide range of audiovisual hardware and software experience in a networked environment and a willingness to learn new technologies as they are introduced to schools. Demonstrated knowledge of asset management, and basic applications including, word processing and spreadsheets. Demonstrated ability to work with students on a variety of audiovisual technologies Demonstrated strong oral and written communication skills. Demonstrated organizational skills, with attention to detail. Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of variables in situations that require decision-making. Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
Function and Responsibilities:
Follow all rules, policies, procedures, and guidelines of Wawasee Community School Corporation along with state and federal regulations pertaining to school/technology issues. Responds and submits to tickets via the Helpdesk and escalates issues to the next level of technical support for all technical difficulties beyond means or capabilities. Ensure device audiovisual technologies and related equipment in the school are working properly; arrange for needed maintenance. Troubleshoot problems with audiovisual device technology and other equipment; assist users with full utilization of hardware and software. Maintain an asset inventory and records of audiovisual technology equipment. Produce audio/video for school events and meetings including but not limited to shooting, direction, switching, technical direction, audio graphics, and editing of presentation and public viewing and archival storage. Install, maintain, and utilize auditorium, presentation, and choir sound systems, microphones, wiring, wired and wireless intercom systems as well as computerized and analog theatrical lighting systems and instruments. Instruct technology facilitators in new software and hardware technologies. Produce technical documentation and instructional materials that are user-friendly. Install, test, and maintain an IP based telephone system Maintain personal and professional technical skills, keep up with current trends and bring that knowledge forward for the Corporation's good. Cooperate and coordinate with other members of the technology team. Proficient in Google Chrome, and Microsoft Windows Operating Systems.
