POSITION SUMMARY
Position Summary:
The IT Network Technician Foreman is responsible for leading, coaching and mentoring the network technician team in installing, configuring, and maintaining physical and logical network infrastructure, such as Local Area Networks (LAN), WideArea Networks (WAN) cabling, facilities and underground fiber optics, including data closet and data center hardware connectivity. The network technician foreman oversees projects, follows and enforces safety protocols, troubleshoots complex system issues, and provides technical support and guidance to the network technician team to meet deadlines. Oversees the installation, termination, labeling, and testing of fiber optic and copper cabling, patch panels, and racks. The network technician foreman follows the technical standards and organizational policies and procedures relating to the SRHC infrastructure. Performs underground fiber locates and participates in a network technician on-call rotation. Provides a strong background in LAN/WAN's hardware, and connectivity. Manages material procurement, tracks project progress, and ensures deadlines are met. Coaches and trains a crew of technicians to ensure high-quality standards, efficient installations and maintenance.
POSITION QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum Education High School or equivalent. Minimum Experience Four years working as an IT technician in a medium to large organization or health care facility.
