Job Description We are seeking a skilled and service-oriented Technology Technician to join our educational team. The Technology Technician plays a vital role in supporting the technology needs of students, faculty, and staff by providing technical support, maintaining technology infrastructure, and ensuring reliable access to educational and administrative systems. The ideal candidate is a proactive problem-solver who enjoys working in a school environment and is committed to using technology to support teaching, learning, and operational excellence. Responsibilities Provide frontline technical support for faculty, staff, and students, resolving hardware, software, and network-related issues in a timely manner. Install, configure, maintain, and upgrade computers, operating systems, software applications, printers, and other technology equipment. Diagnose and repair computer hardware and coordinate warranty repairs or equipment replacements when necessary. Manage student and staff user accounts, permissions, and shared network resources. Assist with the maintenance and administration of school technology systems, servers, and network infrastructure. Troubleshoot connectivity issues involving wireless networks, switches, classroom technology, and other network components. Utilize the school's ticketing system to track, prioritize, and resolve technology requests. Support classroom and educational technology, including interactive displays, iPads, and other instructional tools. Train and mentor student technology assistants, helping them develop technical and customer service skills. Provide technology training and support for faculty and staff to promote effective use of technology resources. Maintain accurate technology inventory records and assist with equipment deployment and replacement planning. Collaborate with school leadership and faculty to support technology initiatives and enhance the educational experience. Participate in school meetings, professional development opportunities, and special events as needed. Maintain confidentiality and professionalism while supporting the mission and values of the school. Qualifications High school diploma or GED required. Technical training in computer repair, information technology, or a related field preferred. CompTIA A+ certification or related credential preferred. Four years of technology support experience preferred. Strong knowledge of computer hardware, software installation, troubleshooting, and network systems. Experience supporting Windows-based environments and educational technology preferred. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with students, faculty, staff, and vendors. Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities independently. Commitment to providing exceptional customer service and fostering a positive school environment.
